Hi everyone,

I have just added another case study to our website. This is the second one is the series and you can find it at the link below:

Conducting and Analyzing a Customer Survey

This a quite detailed review of an online survey which we did for a University Faculty library who wanted to know how students (ie their customers) used the library and its resources. Specifically, they wanted to know if students who would attain the same degree but who followed different learning paths used in the library in different ways. Copies of the survey and some editted resukts are available to view, so please have a look and let us know what you think.

Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I have just added the first case study to our website. You can find the link below:

Researching a Global Business Market

This is a description of how we did some secondary research (sometimes called desk research) to quantify the world and EU market size and growth of a particular product. The majority of this market research was done on the internet and in the next post, I will give you a few tips on how to do this without getting lost in all the information which you can generate.

In the meantime, please take a moment to read the case study and let me know you thoughts in the comments below. Aagin, the link to the case study is:

Hello world indeed!

My name is Vic Curtis and I own and run a market research firm based in Nottingham, UK. I actually live in Derby and so do quite a bit of travelling around the East Midlands. We help people do market research and customer surveys, either by doing it for them (and thus removing the time and hassle factors), or by giving them advice how how they can do it themselves. Most of our customers are B2B companies or education organizations who what to improve what they are offering to their clients – and the best way to find out how they can do this, is to ask.

There are a lot of misconceptions regarding market research and customer surveys which I am going to be posting on in the coming weeks and months. People think it’s either too difficult as they are not sure what to ask, how to ask it and how to actually get a questionnaire ‘out there’, or it’s too time consuming or too costly. Hopefully, I can challenge some of these thoughts so that market research and customer surveys can be a benefit to you, not a hinderence.

If you would like to let me know what your biggest frustration is with either researching your market or surveying your customers, please put a comment below, and we’ll see what we can do about it.

Vic Curtis
